I did manage to attend the literary evening. I am from nearby Zurrieq. On the
night I drove round Safi and soon discovered that it was going to be held at the
local council. Being a small island pays off sometimes!
I have to add that it was truly an enjoyable night. I especially loved the
poetry. I would have loved to have read one of my own on the night but since I
did not receive the correspondence I did not send in my poetry prior to the
night. I was glad to see how people who are not members of the Association
attended. It is such a great sight to see the general public appreciating
poetry.
